Theft:
On Feb. 7, the owner of Meeske's Prime Meats, 227 N. Northwest Highway, reported five exterior refrigerator compressors were stolen from the store. The owner said they were left outside and were cable locked together when the crime happened. The compressors are valued at $20,000.
Damage to Property:
A Crystal Lake woman reported damage to her car while using the car wash at 330 W. Northwest Highway. On Feb. 4, the woman was waiting for her car to go through the carwash when she noticed her vehicle was stuck. She notified an employee who promptly stopped the carwash cycle. Her vehicle had to be driven manually through the carwash, damaging her two front wheels in the process.
On Feb. 4, a Sleepy Hollow woman reported that someone had damaged her vehicle while it was parked behind her business at 636 S. Northwest Highway. The woman said she left her car there for about a week due to mechanical issues. On Feb. 4 she discovered that someone had taken a sharp object and scratched and hit most of the exterior of her car.
Lost or Stolen Property:
A man reported his Lenova IBM laptop and check book missing on Feb. 5. The man said he left the items in the bathroom of the Barrington train station, 201 S. Spring Street on Feb. 5.
Possession and Delivery of Cannabis:
Several Barrington High School students were cited on Feb. 4 for a variety of drug related issues. Two 15-year-old male students were cited for possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis. Two other male students, ages 16 and 15 were cited for delivery of the drug.
