Obesity is widespread because food can be found everywhere, and much of it is delicious but fattening. It is in the interest of us all to become more aware of what we eat and try to maintain an acceptable weight.
Serving smaller portions at restaurants is a good idea, but customers eat out because they do not want to cook. They may also have to pay the same price for less.
Many order fried food because it is cheaper. A favorite with children is French fries. If they are served without a salad or a vegetable, the portion should be smaller to include one of these. In this way, they would not be entirely deprived of something they like to eat. The beverage should be small, and the dessert shared.
