RAWALPINDI: Two people tried to sneak into the premises of a ‘sensitive facility’ (ugh!  the stench of what goes on at this facility is horrible)  near the official residences of senior army officers early on Sunday morning but could not do so because of the vigilance of a security guard, sources said.

The facility is located near the golf club here.

A security guard said a colleague, Mohammad Sarfaraz, who was deployed at the facility, spotted two people trying to enter it.

When the duo saw Sarfaraz they opened fire at him. These were not school kids out to pull a prank - these were the "real deal" terroristeses! Sarfaraz returned the fire, forcing the two to flee. He, however, could not say if any of the attackers was hit.

Sarfaraz then sounded an alert. Army, police and intelligence personnel cordoned off the facility and began the search for the fleeing men.

However, the men couldn’t be found.  Should have called out the dawgs!

An FIR has been lodged with the Civil Lines police on the complaint of the guard.
