From 1945: Here's the caption: "The Hometite trailer, an aluminum trailer-house, is now being handled by Grask Co., 312 Sixth Ave East, Des Moines. ... The model has an aluminum exterior, walnut walls, spun glass insulation and steel undercarriage. it sells for $3,100." An accompanying article says the trailer was 27 by 8 feet, and had "a separate bedroom designed for war workers who must sleep during the day."
