#Libya: The Two Narratives

Once again (as in so many countries), the US narrative of events in Libya differs profoundly from my limited understanding of the situation and perhaps from the understanding of Libyans whose fate is hanging in the balance.
We seem to be constructing an image of a situation in which a glorious revolutionary army of citizens and defected soldiers are marching on the capital as the tyrant's support crumbles steadily.  The strains of "La Marseillaise" can be heard in the background.  "Aux armes, citoyens, formez vos battaillons!"
Nonsense.  I see no battalions of citizens.  I see no advance on Tripoli.  I see a potential for those battalions, but the clock is running, running.  Given enough time the tyrant will regain his position.
Clinton, Susan Rice and the CFR wonkies can babble all they want. That will not bring down this tyrant.  Qathafi is not Mubarak.  We must act, now!  Someone must help organize the potential forces of freedom.  DOL  pl
