Bruce Portnoy,O.D. author of The Other Side of Dr. Wolf an internationally read, award winning novel was recently interviewed for the cable television program, "Taped with Rabbi Doug." The interview can be seen on the following You-Tube link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHrNor6bodk&feature=youtube_gdata_player
"It's a fast pace story told through the eyes of Jon Wolf, a Jewish man whose life is tragically altered when his wife Abbie receives an e-mail from the son of a Lebanese diplomat laced with danger. He will meet G.P. Mehmet, a retired F.B.I. agent of Palestinian descent and the two will unite to uncover details of an Iranian based and State department assisted nuclear terror plot targeting Jerusalem."
While the book is completely fictional, Portnoy said it does address legitimate concerns about the prevalence of Middle East terrorist sympathizers and rising anti-Semitism throughout the world.
The Other Side of Dr. Wolf was independently reviewed by Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) and on June 10 received a rating of 5 stars citing "...The Other Side of Dr. Wolf is an intriguing and very highly recommended read..."
On July 3rd, 2010, Portnoy presented a lecture/discussion regarding the writing process of his novel to an enthusiastic international audience, while aboard the Princess Ruby during its Mediterranean Cruise.
The story went on to receive the "Editor's Choice Award" from its publisher iUniverse and has been reported upon by Suburban Chicago Tribune and Pioneer Press Local editions; as well as by The Chicago Jewish Star and most recently "The Chicago Jewish News" in its "Chicago Jewish People of the Book" article.
